002nd Forged Devil: Ever Exploring [Accidental Voice/Action]
[Hector's feed starts off with the sound of the river, of the breeze through the trees. The sound of Hector's voice soon filters in, soft and distant, as though not directly addressing the listeners.]
Yes, I know; t'is cold indeed. But soon, when the frost melts, you can enjoy the sky as much as you like.
[In response, there's... chirping? It seems Hector is talking to a small bird.]
Now, run along. Back to your nest, to your parents. T'would be a shame if they grew worried, would it not?
[Again, chirping in response, then the fluttering of wings as the little bird departs. The sound of Hector's boots draws nearer to the journal, crunching over bits of ice; it isn't long before the feed stops entirely, Hector finally realizing that it was open.]
[Later that day, Hector can be found grabbing a few things from the grocery store and the item shop: dried meats and fruits, a tinder box, some canteens, as well as a cloth bag to hold it all in. It seems he's preparing for a hike of some sort, judging by the sort of things he's gathering.]
[It isn't until the late evening that he decides to properly head out, filling up his canteens with river water before starting on his way back out the village. What his destination is, he doesn't yet know; but he does know that he's not going to stop until he's seen a good chunk of the area around the village.]

Just step outside and see for yourself!
[Red motions to Dahak - the seven-feet-tall giant metal beast parked outside the shop, looking for all the world like a canine iron golem. Or something of that nature.]
There he is! What do ya think?
[action]
[Hector just... stares. Blankly.]
[What IS that? It's huge! And metal! And... vaguely threatening looking!!]
[action]
[Red hands over the packages to Hector... or if he's still too stunned, he'll just plop them onto the ground. With one huge leap, Red vaults into the cockpit, grabbing the controls and holding one of Dahak's huge hands out.]
You can hand 'em over now. [...or Red will just pick them up. Whichever.]
[action]
[Watching. Still very much shocked.]
[...and then handing them back over.]
[Pardon him while his brain reboots--]
What in the heavens IS this? 'tis like a giant suit of armor!
[action]
[Of course, that's easy; he could do it with only one robo-hand, too, since one's taken up with the groceries. ...Do you really want this dog-man attempting this, Hector?]
[action]
[Seems Hector isn't all back yet.]
Is it... safe?
[Please don't make him assume the worst.]
[action]
[That's pretty much what Dahak is anyway, though. Red will hold out the other giant hand in front of Hector, palm-up, giving him a steady foothold if he needs or wants it.]
Wanna go for a ride? You can sit up here.
[action]
[He's fought giant monsters, collective blobs of humanoid shapes, and Dracula himself.]
[What harm could an iron golem do?]
[So, gingerly, he'll work his way onto Dahak's palm.]
This seems... much more sturdy than I could have imagined.
[action]
[Red carefully moves Dahak's palm closer so Hector can step into the cockpit. It might be a little cramped, but there's room for him.]
Hop on in and tell me where to go.
[action]
What would be the place where you could show me everything this... machine... is capable of?
[action]
[Red reaches over to the controls, leaning over Hector slightly, and Dahak starts to stomp towards the dome. It's a little rough, but at least Hector's not going to go toppling out of the cockpit or anything.]
You've never seen machines like this before?
[action]
[Hector's hand grabs onto the side of the cockpit, steadying himself as Dahak moves along.]
There are giant suits of armor where I come from, but they are animated by magic. And they are certainly less... advanced than this one.
[action]
[That makes him wonder what Dahak would look like as a magical construct instead of a technological one. If Felinekos had robots instead of the Caninu, maybe?]
Where do ya come from, anyway?
[action]
[Hector chuckles, imagining the idea -- a larger version of Corpsey that he could ride on.]
[That would have certainly been imposing.]
My world? 'tis called Earth.
[action]
[Red supposes that magic could kind of take technology's place. He can't imagine life without it, though.]
[action]
When I was brought here, the year was 1479.
[action]
[Oh, they're getting pretty close to the battledome now. Good thing Dahak can just push the doors open so Red doesn't have to jump out.]
[action]
But, if you insist on knowing where: are you familiar with the region of Walachia?
[action]
[Into the dome! Red's already heading over to the central console, parking Dahak in front of it and then hopping out to punch in a scenario. Looks fairly plain; varied terrain, a bunch of crates and metal containers, nothing fancy.]
[action]
[Hector trails off in amazement and looks around interestedly, his blue eyes wide. He's never seen someone use a simulation before...]
... How did you do that?
[action]
[Where does Red even start? What kind of technology does this guy have that he can use as a baseline? He just shrugs, turning towards the room.]
I'll explain it later. Just think of it as magic for now. C'mon in.
[action]
R-Right. As you wish. [He follows along, still glancing about the room with a sense of awe; to cast such a spell, and to change an entire area in the span of seconds is even beyond Dracula's powers.]
[action]
Alright, now make sure to stand back! This is gonna get messy.
[Red drives his robot over to a large, metal container; it's as big as Dahak itself, but those giant hands wrap around its sides and lift it into the air, almost effortlessly. Even more impressive, Dahak's still able to walk around while holding that kind of weight.]
Here we go!
[Red hits the controls and Dahak lobs the metal crate forwards, sending it a good ten or fifteen feet away, where it lands with a resounding thump.]
